I am a father, son, and grandson of diabetics. I lost my grandmother to complications of Diabetes. My father is a diabetic, and my 13 year old daughter is a diabetic also. At the age of 5 my daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. My daughter has found that she had to grow up faster then most children to accept the resposibility of counting carbs and and knowing her limits to ensure herself of a good day. We could make it daily, but we find comfort with the help of others working with the Kansas City chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International. We ask that you do your part and give from the heart to JDRF on behalf of K bear Cubs of the Kansas City, Missouri chapter.
