The all-new DISCOVERY Children’s Museum at the Donald W. Reynolds Discovery Center in Symphony Park downtown Las Vegas provides the perfect setting for children and families to learn something new and have fun doing it. The museum features nine permanent exhibits encompassing three floors. Each exhibit is designed to educate and enthrall visitors, and there is something for every interest and every age group. On the first floor, visitors can enter Water World and learn about the impact of water on our everyday lives. From there visitors can venture into Fantasy Festival, where they can take part in a puppet show, explore a pirate ship, and become a king or a queen in the castle. Toddler Town provides an opportunity for guests under the age of five to role-play, explore, collaborate and cooperate, make decisions and problem solve as they play in structures designed to enhance their socialization and manipulative skills.
On the second floor, you can find the Traveling Exhibit Hall. The 5,000 square-foot gallery is large enough to accommodate major exhibits from the nation’s leading museums. The hall is also available for rentals for special events. From the Traveling Exhibit Hall, visitors are transported to Eco City where they can learn what it takes to make this metropolitan and environmentally-friendly city run. Visitors experience the importance of working together at various jobs in order to make the city successful. It’s Your Choice educates visitors about the everyday choices that
impact their health and increases the awareness and understanding of the choices kids and families make every day that affect their health.
The third floor invites visitors to experience Young at Art, a whimsical immersive environment where imagination comes alive. Visitors explore the “language” of art through hands-on investigations of the elements of art: color, line, shape, texture, space and form. The next stop is Solve It! Mystery Town where visitors get to do their very own crime scene investigation and learn about what it takes to be a real-life investigator. The final stop is Patents Pending where visitors can invent, build, and test their own invention. All of the permanent exhibits are connect by the Summit, a 70-foot tower that encompasses 2,200 square feet and ascends all three floors of the museum and pinches through the roof.
