GRANT A GIFT AUTISM FOUNDATION
Grant a Gift Autism Foundation helps children with autism gain independence and support for a better quality of life!
Autism is an epidemic that affects more children than AIDS, diabetes and cancer combined! Just a few years ago 1 in 150 children were being diagnosed with autism, and now it is as high as 1 in 91 under the age of 8 years old. In the next 5 years it is estimated that 800,000 children on the spectrum will be turning 18 and as high as 80% of those children that don’t receive early intervention and treatment will not be functioning. They will have to stay dependent on family or the state to support them, ultimately costing our society millions of dollars. A large majority of children on the autism spectrum are not mentally challenged, so they have the potential to be fully functioning members of our community. As of today, there is no known cause or cure; however we do know that with early detection and ongoing treatment…there is hope! You may be asking yourself right, how can I help and be part of the solution?
And here is the answer…
There are approximately 6000 children living with autism in Nevada! Our programs address every stage of a child living with autism to help them reach their full potential and have a better quality of life! Where does your heart say to give?
